Description
Portuguese nature photographer Leonor da Silva Vale travels to Northern Norway for the assignment she has been waiting for: winter landscapes, polar night and the aurora at its most spectacular. One evening she sees a man beneath the northern lights and deliberately places him inside the frame. Later, when she studies the photograph, the impossible is waiting for her. The mountains are there. The harbor is there. The aurora is there. The man is not. Leonor knows what she saw, and she knows how a camera works. When the stranger, Lukas Hald, appears again, curiosity turns into something far more dangerous. The closer she gets to him, the more ordinary explanations begin to fail. In the long darkness of the polar night, attraction and suspicion grow side by side, and Leonor’s camera becomes the first clue to a world that has always existed just beyond the image.
